Since his re-election in July 2016, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has been advancing his Smart Cities Plan for the nation via the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet under the stewardship of Assistant Minister The Hon Angus Taylor MP. The $50M Smart Cities and Suburbs Program has been a key feature of the Plan, which saw the release of the program's draft guidelines in late 2016. On Friday 20th January 2017 SCCANZ submitted its detailed submission on the guidelines.
